Zoes First card with copics.

Now i know you copic lovers out there are thinking to yourself....... oh my god, you let a 9yr old near your copics!!!!! but Zoe really wanted to give them a go so i showed her how to shade with close numbered copics, how to color by gently making circles to color evenly and how to use the colorless blender to fix mistakes. don't get me wrong i sat with her the whole time watching her like a hawk to make sure she remembered to put the lids on correctly, but zoe i think did a really good job for her first time.

don't ask me what numbers she used...i don't know, but here is her card she made all by herself for her friend Hamish's birthday.

I just love digital stamps but have always found it difficult to get pics for men...boys no dramas, you can do dragons,dinos cars etc but men??? not all of them like golf or like footy! but i stumbled accross a site called http://www.kennykdownloads.com/ and WOW!!! there are a great range of digital images for men as a really good price. so i made this card with an image called Mrs Claus.

Swimming Carnival.

Zoe had her first swimming carnival on Monday for Ellison road PS. she was really nervous as she has not had the chance to go to this kind of thing before and Zoe is not a strong swimmer. but she went in the lizard lane 6 times(6 x 25mtr) and went into the novelty races.
then Zoe decided to swim to earn a point for her house team and went into the 25mtr race. she came last but we don't care it was the fact that Zoe gave it a go that i was so proud of her!! the teachers aide also swam beside Zoe in case she struggled.

Zoes cards. Valentine's Day entry for simon says challenge.

Zoe decided to make Valentine's Day cards this year. how an 8yr old has 4 Valentines is beyond me but she insisted, so i let her loose in my craft room and she went crazy. I have to say i was impressed with the chicken card as she even shaded and gave them shadows! And i genuinely did not give her any help!
a lot of glitter glue and stamping later...Zoe had made these cards for, Hamish,Thomas,Alex and Nevin.
i hope Simon says likes them as Zoe put heaps of effort into them...plus the colours actually matched this time(Zoe has Irlen syndrome so she wears blue glasses... which does affect the colours she sees sometimes!)

missed me?

sorry there has been no posts since Australia day buy a certain daughter of mine took it upon herself to download Pokemon movies online and used all of our download time for the month so our speed went from 1500 adsl to 56kp dial up!!! i was NOT impressed. but the new months is on from today and Zoe will not be going near the PC unless supervised! so i will update tomorrow!!!

Well i have been busy making cards today and specifically for a design call at Simon says stamp. though it is always the same when design calls come out...1. they all seem to come out together so i am rushing around trying to make heaps of projects, and 2. i seem to always have creative blocks when they do come out!!!

New look blog... and a busy week coming up.

well let me know what you think! i have been playing about with changing the blog to look a little different. did not get to do all i wanted to do but it is a start.

this week coming up is quite busy. Zoe starts Golf camp tomorrow...yes you heard right....golf camp. Zoe asked so i thought why not! She is doing it for 3 days and then on Thursday is going to Selwood for 3 hours of science. she does this every term. this visit she is going to try out making slime.....messy!
then on Friday she has a play ate with Gareth! so no stopping for Zoe this week!

Pink cat studio creating even more....

Well pink cat studios are now doing paper piecing projects and i offered my skills to have a go at their designs. their projects were heaps fun to play with and i made many things. here are a few cards and scrapbooking pages that i made using the cutting files.
