A card a day - day 3.

Today I have created a cute card using Fiskars apron lace border punch Fiskars stamps and a Fiskars scalloped circle punch to create the flower. this was achieved by folding a circle scallop in 1/2 then folding each corner to the middle and then sticking it on to another circle scallop for stability. then popping a Bella bling in the middle. The paper i used was kaisercrafts new range called chapter one. I also used lawn fawn new alphabet range called Quinn's ABC's. I stamped the letters on the patterned paper and carefully cut them out with my Fiskars fingertip knife.

A card a day - Day 2.

Today is day 2 of a card a day challenge. 

This card uses one of my favourite fiskars punches  boundary waters. I was perfect for this fun in the sun pink cat studio stamp. I also used basic grey papers and of course coloured with copics.

July is a card a day Challenge.... day 1

Today is day 1 of a card a day .
With this card i have used the cupcake border punch by Fiskars and the heart shape template with Fiskars also.
the image is by Dustin Dike and I coloured her with Copics. the bear is saying hello with a Fiskars squeeze punch and the paper behind is Kaisercraft. the background stamp is hero arts and has been stamped with versa-mark and perfect pearls put on top.

tuesday tutorial (on thursday) rolled roses *third times a charm*

* OK this is the third attempt in getting blogger to upload images...so here goes....*

Today is a quickie and a easy tutorial. Rolled roses. You do not need to go out and buy a bunch of those dies out there to create a rolled rose. all you need is a circle of card,scissors and card or paper.
I am using my Fiskars shape template and shape cutter to create the circles and I am also using the free hand function on the shape cutter to cut the spiral on my circles.

firstly cut yourself a circle.

next cut a spiral from the outside to the middle. it does not have to be in a straight a wobbly edge gives it a more petal look.

Then start to roll the card/paper from the outside in.

once you get to the end pop a glue dot on the bottom and stick to the end of the spiral.

slowly tease the rolled paper/card to open a little to create a fuller flower.

Add some glitter or ever glossy accents on the edges to give a sparkly or dew drop effect.

I made a few useing these flowers and put them onto a layout of my daughter Zoe. I used also ink by steph papers and rub ons and the background papers were cut with many border punches by fiskars also.
